Hinter Quast Collection: eine Familie
QUAST COLLECTION ist ein Familienprojekt. Marion Quast hat es gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Torben gegründet – und auch ihre Tochter ist Teil des Abenteuers. Bei jedem Besuch in der Champagne sind sie zu dritt vor Ort: Das spüren auch die Winzer.
Marion ist Deutsch-Französin, in München aufgewachsen, zweisprachig erzogen. Drei Regionen prägen ihren Weg: Deutschland, die Bretagne ihrer Mutter und die Champagne, die schon in der Kindheit zu jeder Rückreise dazugehörte. Seit fast dreißig Jahren begleitet sie der Champagner.
Diese französische Verwurzelung macht den Unterschied: Sie führt den Dialog mit den Winzern auf Augenhöhe, in ihrer Sprache – und wählt für Sie Häuser aus, die in Deutschland sonst nicht zu finden sind.
Ihre Auswahl folgt klaren Kriterien: ein Winzer, der bei den etablierten Anbietern noch nicht vertreten ist; eine Verkostung der gesamten Palette vor Ort; eine zweite Verkostung zu Hause in neutralem Rahmen; und eine menschliche Beziehung, die trägt. So entsteht ein Portfolio ohne Redundanz – jede Cuvée bringt ihre eigene Handschrift.

The ideal temperature
Champagne unfolds its full vibrancy at 8 to 10 °C. If it's too cold, the aromas remain hidden; if it's too warm, it loses its freshness. Vintage champagnes are particularly well-suited to slightly higher temperatures (10 to 12 °C).

The choice of glass
A tulip glass or a white wine glass is best. The shape – wide at the bottom, slightly narrower at the top – allows the bubbles to rise and simultaneously concentrates the aromas. Avoid overly narrow flutes, which trap the fragrances, and overly wide bowls, which cause them to dissipate too quickly.
