Thuillier & Filles

Champagne winemaker

Thuillier & Filles

Champagne Thuillier & Filles is an independent winegrower (Récoltant Manipulant) in its 3rd generation.

Claudette Thuillier cultivates 6 hectares of vineyards in Beaunay and Etoges, right on the border of the Côte des Blancs and the Coteaux du Petit Morin. She practices sensible and thoughtful viticulture and prefers more natural cultivation methods.

Their champagnes are modern, exciting, and individual.

Philosophy

The moment, intuition, independence – these three words embody the family motto. Optimistic by nature, the maison has been shaped by bold and instinctive decisions. A consciously lived freedom, off the beaten track, with the aim of creating moments of sharing and convivial togetherness.

Quality is paramount in every respect and is expressed in absolute respect for nature and respect of the consumer.

Claudette practices sensible and thoughtful viticulture, limits chemical interventions and prefers more natural methods such as greening the plots, plant cover, soil cultivation or the use of pheromones against vine pests.

The story

The story of Champagne Thuillier begins with Claude and Corine Thuillier – the parents of the current winemaker Claudette – who founded the house in the 1970s. Their first cuvée was launched in 1976.

Following Claudette's complete takeover of the family winery in 2013, she reintroduced barrel vinification, a method her parents had abandoned in favor of stainless steel tanks, and oversaw modernization efforts. Her creative intuition and her fundamentally optimistic, bold, and sunny personality are reflected in her authentic and subtle champagnes, which immediately captivated us.
The success and longevity of this small company is therefore not only that of a profession born of passion, embodied by winegrowers who love their vines, but also a beautiful family story passed down from one generation to the next.
