Voirin-Jumel emerged from the union of two winegrowing families with deep roots in Cramant and Chouilly. In the second generation, Paulette Jumel acquired a plot beyond the chalk: "Les Carelles" in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, planted with Pinot Noir in 1968—which remains the foundation for the house’s Blanc de Noirs, Rosé de Saignée, and Ratafia to this day. Over the generations, a mosaic of individual vineyard sites has been formed. Today, the blends are created by six hands, working together with Patrick—the father of Pauline and Julie, the winemakers. Since 2020, Pauline has expanded the repertoire with "Talent Caché," a line of still Coteaux Champenois produced in very limited quantities. At the same time, the house remains committed to long-term patience: some of their Champagnes are aged for 6 to 8 years before they are deemed ready for release and sale.
